A vow renewal is one of the most meaningful ceremonies I get to create. It is not about pretending nothing has changed. How We Create Your Vow Renewal Together
The process mirrors my wedding process, because both ceremonies deserve the same level of love and attention.
We start with a brief initial contact to make sure we connect well. From there, we have a consultation, in person or via Zoom, where I find out about your relationship. Not just the highlights, but the whole story. The adventures, the challenges, the things that made you sure you wanted to keep going together.
We discuss the elements you would like to include. Whether you want something intimate and personal with just a handful of your nearest and dearest, or a full celebration with all your favourite people and a few symbolic moments, I will design it around you.
I visit your venue, check the choreography and seating, liaise with your other suppliers and then write your ceremony script. You review it, we refine it together, and we make sure every single word is exactly right.

Types of Vow Renewal Ceremonies
Vow renewals come in as many different shapes as the couples who celebrate them.
Some couples want a quiet, intimate ceremony with just a handful of their nearest and dearest. Others want a full celebration with champagne, music and a crowd of people who love them. Some want to incorporate meaningful symbolic elements: a handfasting, an oathing stone, a unity candle. Some want to write completely new vows. Others want to say something simple and heartfelt.
I also feel particularly passionate about vow renewals for couples who are celebrating something hard-won. Perhaps you have been through a really difficult period and come out the other side stronger. Perhaps one of you has faced serious illness. Perhaps you simply want to stand in front of each other and say: I am so glad we are still here.
I love working with older couples too, including those in the LGBTQ+ community who may not have had the ceremony they truly wanted the first time around. Every love story deserves to be properly celebrated, whatever shape it takes.
Transparent Pricing
Packages and Pricing
Vow renewal ceremony fees range from €1,800 to €3,000, depending on the elements included in the ceremony and the amount of travel involved.
Optional extras, charged additionally:
- Vow writing for each partner: €200 per person
- Proof-reading and editing vows you have written: €50 per person
- Symbolic ceremony props such as handfasting cords, candles or vases: charged at cost
- A commemorative certificate for signing: charged at cost
- Travel beyond 40km from my home: 45 cents per kilometre
Payment terms:
A booking fee of 50% of the total is due on booking. The remaining balance is due 12 weeks before your ceremony, or sooner if your ceremony falls within that window. Ceremonies booked within 12 weeks require payment in full at the time of booking. All fees are non-refundable.

Can we get married anywhere in France, or are there restrictions on venues?
One of the most wonderful things about a celebrant ceremony is that you can marry anywhere. A chateau, a barn, a restaurant, a garden, a beach, a woodland. If it is meaningful to you and the venue allows it, we can absolutely make it happen.
